Bio
Welcome to the news journal of James looker, a freelance indie rock photographer based in London UK.
Most of the shots on here are from the last 3 years and have been shot on digital or medium format. Some of my photography may seem familiar as I'm best known as a photographer on NME magazine which has featured hundreds of my favourite shots over the last 5 years. I have also been published in a variety of magazines including Rolling Stone, Disorder, Arena, Dazed and Confused, Uncut, Clash, Dummy, N.E.E.T. and The Observer newspaper. My photography has also featured in promotional material for record labels worldwide.
I cover all fields of entertainment and shoot a broad mixture of styles from behind the scenes documentary & editorial to fully produced promotional, studio portrait or location shoots.
This site currently only shows a tiny fraction of my recent work that is allowed to be public. It was designed to keep you distracted until my permanent website was constructed, but I think it'll stay around for a while. Photos will come and go as the site regularly updates and evolves each week with photographs of new breaking bands, as well as more established artists.
